You should speak positive and lovely about your bride at all times. Though it may seem cool and nice to add a small joke, this is not the right situation for it. In my speech I stuck to what I knew my bride would want me to say, and it worked out very well for everyone.

Another thing that made the grooms speeches so stressful to me was the fact I did not plan well ahead. And not planning ahead means that you have less control of what you say. Remember, your wedding day is to celebrate the love for you and your bride with everyone who is important for you. Even though I was really having bad night sleep about my groom wedding speech, it did not take me long to realize that it is not so difficult please everybody with some nice words in my grooms speech.

I always knew that when my future wife and I decided to get married I would have to write a nice, beautiful and funny groom wedding speech, but I never knew, nor realized how important that speech was going to be!
